popo.estimation.to_pandapower(master, transformer_index=0, dss=None)

Convert an OpenDSS circuit and locate the busbar the study measures.

Each transformer’s low-voltage rating is reset so its ratio is the nameplate turns ratio, read from the circuit the converter has just compiled, rather than the ratio of its buses’ voltage bases.

Parameters:

• master (Path) – Master .dss file of the circuit.

• transformer_index (int) – Which transformer’s secondary is the measured busbar. The default is the first, which on a single-substation LV feeder is the only one.

• dss (Any) – The opendssdirect module the converter compiled the circuit into. Defaults to importing it; pandapower’s converter needs it too.

Return type:

tuple[Any, int]

Returns:

The pandapower network and the index of its low-voltage busbar.

Raises:

• FileNotFoundError – If the master file does not exist.

• ValueError – If the converted network carries no transformer, so there is no busbar to measure at.
