Tutorials#

Three notebooks that each work through a complete study. They run when the documentation is built, so every number and figure in them comes from the current code. The feeders and profiles they use are in the repository’s test data (tests/data); to run a notebook yourself, clone the repository (see Installation) and open it from the notebooks directory.

The expanded network of tutorial 01, each bus coloured by voltage status.
Tutorial 01

OpenDSS LV modelling

Build a low-voltage circuit with OpenDSS commands, read it back as records and tables, check it against EN 50160, and extend it with new branches and rooftop PV.

Voltage over two days at 80% PV: the busbar against the most exposed customer.
Tutorial 02

Time series and DER

Simulate a 188-customer UK feeder over two days with recorded household, PV and EV profiles, find its hosting capacity, and compare Volt-VAr, Volt-Watt and storage.

True and estimated voltage at every bus of the UK feeder.
Tutorial 03

LV state estimation

Estimate every bus voltage on the same feeder from the substation, smart meters and line sensors, and find how many measurements are needed.
