popo.powerflow.source_bus(dss)

The bus the circuit’s voltage source (the slack bus) connects to.

The slack bus is held at its setpoint by construction rather than by anything the network does, so it reads as a real voltage in bus_voltages() while saying nothing about what customers see. Exclude it before taking a network-wide minimum or maximum.

Parameters:

dss (Any) – An opendssdirect module with a compiled circuit.

Return type:

str

Returns:

The source bus name, without a phase suffix.
