A distribution transformer as the circuit defines it.

Variables:

• name – Identifier used by the circuit and by any monitor attached to it.

• rating_kva – Nameplate apparent power, the denominator of utilisation.

• low_voltage_bus – Bus on the secondary winding, where customers connect.

• secondary_kv – Secondary line-to-neutral voltage, which distinguishes a distribution transformer from one further upstream.

• normal_rating_kva – Normal thermal rating, normhkva in the circuit, typically 1.1 times the nameplate. Screening studies often use this as the denominator of utilisation; the two must not be confused.
