InverterCapability#

class popo.standards.InverterCapability(name, q_limit_pu, reference='')#

Bases: object

Reactive capability of a distributed generator, as a standard sets it.

Variables:
  • name – Human-readable identifier.

  • q_limit_pu – Reactive power the inverter must be capable of, in per unit of its rated apparent power, in both directions.

  • reference – The clause the limit comes from.

classmethod ieee_1547()#

North American interconnection, IEEE 1547-2018 category B.

Return type:

InverterCapability

classmethod erec_g99()#

British interconnection, EREC G99, at \(\cos\phi = 0.95\).

Return type:

InverterCapability

clip(q_pu)#

Limit a reactive power request to what the standard permits.

Parameters:

q_pu (ArrayLike) – Requested reactive power, per unit of rated apparent power.

Return type:

ndarray

Returns:

The request, clipped symmetrically to the capability.
